Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health (Psychiatric / Adolescent)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adolescent behavioral health patients on a 9-bed inpatient psychiatric unit
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring throughout the shift
- Administer medications accurately and in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to ensure patient safety and therapeutic outcomes
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and PYXIS for medication management
- Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to unit-specific nursing practices and policies
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Ability to maintain a calm, therapeutic demeanor in a psychiatric care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Pediatric or Adolescent Behavioral Health settings
- Familiarity with PYXIS medication dispensing systems and DYNAMAP equipment
- Flexibility to float to Adult and Child Behavioral Health units as needed
