Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a patient population that includes pulmonary, general medical, COPD, asthma, and tracheostomy patients
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias utilizing continuous telemetry monitoring
• Manage patients requiring tracheostomy care, chest tubes, and non-invasive oxygen support including BiPAP and CPAP (no ventilators)
• Document accurately using EPIC and administer medications via PYXIS, communicating via SBAR methodology
• Float within the service line as needed based on unit demands
• Fulfill weekend requirements of 3 weekends (6 weekend shifts) per 6-week scheduling cycle

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC or a Compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Current BLS (BCLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior telemetry nursing experience
• Familiarity with EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR communication frameworks
