Registered Nurse - Wound Care

Schedule / Job Type:

Days, 12.5-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized wound and ostomy care to patients, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Delegate and supervise patient care responsibilities among staff members based on their education and experience.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Wound Care RN in a hospital setting.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association; certification must be attached to application.
• Valid Texas or multi-state compact RN license; license copy must be attached to resume.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience working in fast-paced hospital environments.
• Strong assessment and wound management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
