Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring for patients receiving chemotherapy and manage telemetry via GE B450 monitors
• Administer chemotherapy and blood products; manage central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, and implanted ports
• Implement symptom management for patients experiencing disease-related treatment effects or disease progression
• Maintain strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or state license in hand at time of submission)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and chest tube insertion/removal assistance
