Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM) | 5 x 8-hour shifts | 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient mental status and respond to behavioral or psychiatric emergencies
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery and discharge planning
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or compact eligibility
- Experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health nursing setting
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work a consistent day shift schedule, 40 hours per week
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit
- Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention
