Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit setting with patient ratios of 1:1–2
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients experiencing conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment including CRRT, IV pumps, cardiac monitors, and ventilators
• Perform IV starts and manage telemetry monitoring for critical care patients
• Conduct continuous glucose monitoring and manage externalized IV pump protocols as required by unit procedures
• Accurately document patient care and clinical data using the EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience
• EPIC experience required
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Current NIHSS certification (AHA only)
• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Hands-on experience with NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, and GE Ventilator
• Clinical experience managing COVID-positive patients in an ICU environment
