Contract | 26 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a NICU setting, monitoring and supporting the health and development of neonatal patients
• Administer infant-driven feeding protocols in accordance with Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for neonatal patients
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within scope of practice to other units as operationally needed
• Adhere to scheduling requirements, including 3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period and 2 of 3 winter holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required and must be current at time of submission
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification required (may be submitted with certification pending)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
• Familiarity with infant-driven feeding protocols and neonatal developmental care practices
