Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days | Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM | On-call and weekend requirements apply | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced ultrasound imaging procedures, supporting efficient and smooth patient flow throughout the department
• Operate, set up, and safely handle medical ultrasound equipment, including troubleshooting basic maintenance issues and reporting equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel
• Ensure completed exams are accurately scanned and stored in PACS; follow PACS downtime procedures and escalate issues as needed
• Adapt patient assessment and care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs of each patient
• Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses as needed or required
• Participate in ongoing education, quality assurance, and technical advances within the scope of licensure, maintaining all expected imaging competencies

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or an accepted and approved equivalent program
• New Mexico State Licensure (DMS by MIRTP NMED) required
• BLS certification via American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Must hold at least one of the following certifications: Sonography (S) by ARRT, Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS, or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS by ARDMS
• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience required
• Basic computer proficiency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• One or more of the following additional certifications preferred: Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT, Breast Sonography (BS) by ARRT, Breast (BR) RDMS by ARDMS, Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS, or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS
• Experience providing support to radiologists and referring physicians in a clinical imaging environment
• Familiarity with PACS systems and image archiving workflows
