What is your purpose? What is your reason for existing? How do you serve?

A company should know this about themselves.

Defining a mission for your existence and understanding your company purpose is necessary for the success of a company

Many companies define a mission statement at inception, this is crucial because the absence of a brand and culture with mission often leads to failing your employees and customers.

Here’s why:

A mission is what drives and engages employees. Research indicates that high producing businesses are linked to “mission driven companies”.

Employees that love what they do have higher rates of productivity, promote the brand with inspiration and stay loyal to the company by remaining employed with them longer.

These companies that are successfully able to cultivate a strong work culture, beat the competition and retain and attract high-performing talent.

Being an inspirational leader is crucial for the ongoing engagement of staff. If a leader believes in the mission they have laid out those that work alongside them are more likely to follow suit.

So we say stay true to your mission and be a mission-driven leader! This is one of the ways to retain quality staff and reach success for your company!

“Mission-driven workers are more likely to stay for five years at a company and are more likely to grow into high performers than those who arrive at work with only their paycheck as the motivator”. -Forbes
