Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and management of therapy services within a skilled nursing facility, overseeing clinical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Develop and implement systems to grow therapy programs, increase caseloads, and improve facility revenue.
• Supervise, evaluate, and support therapy staff, ensuring compliance with licensing, certification, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and community partners to coordinate discharge planning and therapy goals.
• Ensure documentation and billing are accurate and meet Medicare, Medicaid, and private payor guidelines.
• Promote a positive team environment through performance management, staff development, and fostering open communication.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy or an Associate's Degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or OTA certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of three years of rehabilitation experience; six months in a long-term care setting preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• MDS certification (RAC-CT) or advanced certification preferred.
• Proven leadership and program development experience in a healthcare or therapy setting.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to rehabilitative services.
