Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by utilizing the nursing process in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit.
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and responses.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders or protocols, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care.
- Supervise and guide LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current nursing license in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an 18+ bed telemetry/progressive care unit.
- Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
- BLS and ACLS certifications from recognized organizations (AHA, HSS, or Red Cross).
- Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test administered onsite.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Epic EMR experience.
- NIHSS certification.
