Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, Night Shift (12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Medical Surgical/Tele unit.
• Manage a patient census of approximately 20 patients, including complex cases such as burns, reconstructive surgeries, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries.
• Perform specialized procedures including burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and Pyxis for medication management.
• Collaborate with support services such as pharmacy, respiratory, physical therapy, social work, and transport to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support floating within the organization as needed, including coverage on other units.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry units with similar patient populations.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in a teaching hospital setting.
• Experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems.
