- Full-time, nights shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, family-centered care to mothers and newborns in a busy maternity unit.
- Assist with procedures such as circumcisions, frenulectomies, blood glucose monitoring, phototherapy, bladder scans, and catheterizations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, lactation consultants, and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems including Centricity and Meditech.
- Adhere to unit policies and safety protocols, providing support to high-acuity patients as needed.
- Adapt to the fast-paced environment and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas or proper licensure to practice in the state.
- Minimum of 2 years of Mother-Baby couplet care experience.
- BLS and NRP certification required.
- Ability to handle high-acuity patients with confidence and professionalism.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with phototherapy equipment, glucometers, SCDs, IV pumps.
- Strong ability to deliver family-centered care in a fast-paced maternity setting.
- Outgoing, friendly personality with flexibility and quick learning skills.
