Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
- Assist with newborn care and ensure patient and family education and support
- Utilize hospital equipment such as Electronic Medical Records, Electronic Fetal Monitoring, Fetal Warmers, and medication systems
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of obstetric nursing experience
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NRP certification and specific training through AWHONN
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in Indiana
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
- Familiarity with hospital equipment used in labor and delivery units
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shift requirements
