Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive specialized care to neonates in a Level III NICU, including those from 22 weeks gestation and above.
• Manage respiratory distress, glucose levels, and care for neonates requiring surgical or cardiac interventions.
• Administer medications using the Pyxis medication system, including IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly using the EPIC system.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and families utilizing the SBAR method.
• Perform and oversee procedures such as arterial line management, central line care, and neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions.
• Oversee ventilator settings and adjustments, including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP.

Required Qualifications
• Valid State of Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Experience working in Level III and IV NICU settings.
• Proficiency in cardiovascular dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Knowledge of gastrointestinal feeding methods and management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes.
• Skilled in infection control and IV therapy, including umbilical artery and vein catheter management.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience at Nationwide Children's Hospital or similar pediatric/neonatal facilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team including NP, pharmacy, therapy, and radiology.
• Strong understanding of neonatal care protocols and equipment.

Shift Details
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Three shifts per week

Travel & Credentialing Notes
• Strict compliance with Ohio fingerprinting process required; candidates must complete fingerprinting immediately upon signing.
• Candidates residing outside Ohio within driving distance must physically attend fingerprinting in Ohio; those farther away will receive a fingerprinting packet to complete.
• No travel or salary details to be included; candidates must have active Ohio RN license at submission.
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director.
• Current employees and former employees who have been away 6+ months are eligible for travel assignments.
• RTO (Request Time Off) must be built into contract.
