Registered Nurse Telemetry
Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location
• Houston, TX
Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, 13 weeks, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
• Collect and document patient data in a telemetry unit at a high-volume medical center
• Provide direct patient care, including post-surgical, bariatric, and med/surg procedures
• Monitor and operate medical equipment such as EMR systems and various bedside devices
• Perform procedures including phlebotomy, wound care, tracheostomy, and NG tube management
• Collaborate with a team of nurses and staff to ensure quality patient care and safety
Required Qualifications
• Valid BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Experience working with post-surgical, bariatric, or medical-surgical patients
• Ability to work 5 days a week, including every other weekend and on-call, if required
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in telemetry units and with EMR systems such as Meditech
• Knowledge of patient procedures like tracheostomy and NG tube management
