Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients in a 16-bed CVICU setting.
- Monitor and manage patients with advanced cardiac devices, including ECMO, LVADs, Impella, and IABP.
- Perform critical procedures such as central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, and intubations.
- Utilize telemetry monitors and other advanced medical equipment to support patient care.
- Collaborate with a team of highly skilled nurses and intensivists to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress accurately using the Meditech system.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Tennessee or appropriate state licensing.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, with demonstrated expertise in critical care, preferably CVICU.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, PA catheter management, and cardiac devices.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with IABP, Impella, and CRRT therapies.
- Experience caring for post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
- Knowledge of advanced cardiac patient procedures and interventions.
