Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit within a Short Term Acute Care hospital.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy, and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members as a Charge Nurse or team leader.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.
• Float within scope to other units such as surgical or telemetry as needed.
• Support patient care needs with a focus on general medical and surgical diagnoses.

Required Qualifications

• Valid State Registered Nurse license in Missouri or a compact state (Illinois license acceptable with restrictions).
• BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of professional RN experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Must be able to pass compliance and credentialing requirements, including background checks and social security verification.
• Must have a valid SSN and DOB on file at time of submittal.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior chemo administration experience.
• Charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Flexibility to float within scope and to other units.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Details

• Shifts: 3 days per week, 12 hours each, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Length of assignment: starting in approximately 3-4 weeks, with the possibility to extend beyond 13 weeks.
• Travel compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday before the start date.
• No local candidates within 75 miles are accepted; candidates outside this radius preferred.
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract.
• Orientation will occur on weekdays due to limited weekend classes.
• Travel confirmed candidates must meet face mask and facial hair policies for fit testing.
• Candidates must complete necessary modules within 48-72 hours of signing.
• Mandatory certifications, including recent references, background check, and license verification, are required prior to start.
