Schedule / Job Type
Contract, 12-hour Night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-operative and general medical care to surgical and trauma patients
• Monitor patient status, administer IV therapy, wound care, dressing changes, and manage pain
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and effective treatment plans
• Document patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
• Assist with patient assessments and respond promptly to patient needs and changes in condition
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including infection control and medication administration

Required Qualifications

• Valid active Illinois RN license or confirmation that application has been initiated
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in surgical acute care, including post-op patient management
• Critical thinking skills and ability to ask for help when needed
• Strong bedside manner and team player attitude
• Last four digits of SSN and middle initial required for submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trauma, wound care, IV therapy, NGs, drains, or central lines
• Ability to manage patient care with minimal supervision and assist with telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system
