Key Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties including General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Podiatry, ENT, and GI.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of surgical equipment such as EPIC, Steris, Sterrad, and Medivator.
- Badge in and out at the facility, adhering to hospital protocols.
- Support surgical teams during assigned shifts, including weekend and weekday call coverage as scheduled.
- Follow all safety and procedural standards to ensure smooth surgical operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical technician or related experience.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts, with flexibility for 4 or 5-day workweeks preferred.
- Must note if previously employed by Sanford Health; if so, end date must be at least 6 months prior to submission.
- Ability to assist in various surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including laparoscopic and open surgeries, diagnostic procedures, and more.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with operating room equipment and hospital systems such as EPIC, Steris, Sterrad, and Medivator.
- Familiarity with procedures listed and ability to assist in diverse surgical cases.
