Job Type: Full-time, Travel
Travel Requirements:
- Radius: $105 (51-100 miles)
- Local: $100 (50 miles or less)
- Distance is measured by a straight line, not driving distance
Travel Schedule:
- Must be available to start within the next 2 weeks
- Start date will be based on education availability
- Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Years Day
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery to join our team at Central Vermont Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to women and newborns, including labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to women and newborns in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn units
- Conduct physical assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
- Administer medications, perform IV starts, and perform other procedures as needed
- Participate in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care, including fetal monitoring, newborn resuscitation, and newborn medication administration
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, and to coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation in Epic system
Requirements:
- 1 year of L&D experience
- 1 year of LDRP experience
- Epic experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable
- BLS, NRP required; ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), STABLE preferred
- Experience as a baby nurse at delivery, initiating/being a part of neonatal resuscitations, assigning APGAR scores, and giving newborn medications post-delivery
- Reliable transportation and personal vehicle or rental vehicle required
