Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or eligible for licensure.
- Proven experience in an ICU or critical care environment.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively during night shifts in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Prior experience with ventilator management and advanced life support.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
