Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care to emergency department patients, assessing and monitoring their condition efficiently.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Support patient and family education on health conditions and post-discharge instructions.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, including code responses and rapid interventions.

Required Qualifications

• Current CPR, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• TNCC certification must be in the packet or proof of completion prior to start.
• NIHSS certification mandatory prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; experience in larger, teaching facilities is required.
• Recent EPIC EMR experience (within the past 2 years).
• Valid RN license in the state of Vermont or applicable state license.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certifications in CEN, ENPC, MOAB, or de-escalation training such as ProAct or CPS.
• Experience working in hospitals with 500+ beds or multiple ER departments.
