Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery
Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location
• Georgetown, TX
Schedule / Job Type
• Night shifts, 13-week contract, on-call required, working 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive care for mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Monitor fetal heart rates using GE fetal monitors and manage high-risk pregnancies as needed
• Administer medications such as Pitocin, MgSO4, and insulin drips in accordance with protocols
• Support newborn care, including postpartum assessments, NICU/SCN procedures, and mother-baby bonding activities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license in Texas or current state license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications (additional STABLE certification preferred)
• Recent labor and delivery or postpartum experience within the past year
• Ability to perform level II NICU or nursery procedures (preferred)
• Experience with fetal monitoring and obstetric emergency procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
• LDRP experience, including mother/baby, postpartum, OR circulator (cesarean sections)
• NICU or special care nursery experience
• Knowledge of high-risk obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine protocols
• Bilingual skills are a plus
