Key Responsibilities

• Provide first assistance during various surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, gynecological, urological, endoscopic, ENT, neuro/spine, bariatric, and pain management surgeries.
• Assist with the operation and setup of surgical equipment, including robotic systems and endoscopy devices.
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
• Support surgical team members, including scrub techs, CRNAs, circulators, and anesthesiology staff.
• Participate in approximately 5-6 surgery rooms daily, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Be available for on-call duties, including weekday and weekend call shifts as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• BLS and CSFA certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical assisting experience.
• Experience with robotic surgery, specifically the Davinci Xi system, is required.
• Proficiency in sterile technique, scrub responsibilities, and first assisting in various surgical modalities.
• Ability to work efficiently in inpatient, outpatient, and community hospital settings.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Storz video equipment and Olympus endoscopy devices is preferred.
• Previous travel experience as a surgical first assist is a plus.
