Key Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments precisely as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
• Perform daily maintenance and quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
• Maintain accurate logs and treatment records for all procedures performed.
• Administer patient education to promote compliance and safety, including family education when needed.
• Monitor and document patients’ physical and physiological responses to treatment, referring for appropriate management if necessary.
• Position, immobilize, and align patients according to the treatment plan, addressing setup issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with Level II Radiation Therapists to resolve clinical problems and implement quality assurance protocols.
• Adapt treatment plans and contingency procedures based on workload and schedule variations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist - Radiation Therapy license.
• Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of related radiation therapy experience.
• Graduate of a JCRT-accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Experience with IMRT and IGRT techniques.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate web-based applications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with the MOSAIQ record and verify system.
• Oncology-related patient care experience.
