Registered Nurse PICU

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU, including critically ill children with various medical conditions.
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including coverage at sister facilities.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient interactions accurately in electronic medical records using Epic system.
- Work 3x12-hour shifts with variable weekend and evening/night shifts, including working two out of three holidays and one full weekend every four weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience or strong CVICU background with floating experience.
- Valid California RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
- Epic electronic medical record experience.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including holidays and weekends.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience or experience floating between facilities.
- Experience with advanced care modalities such as ECMO and heart transplantation is a plus.
- Flu vaccination required.
