- Full-time, 3x12-hour day shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care to neurological patients in a Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care unit
- Monitor patients via centralized cardiac surveillance to ensure immediate response to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, including Pass/Fail EKG exams required for all RNs at Cone Health
- Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation within the IMC/PCU setting
- Float across all Cone Health facilities as needed, including holiday coverage and night shifts if required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting, preferably in neuro or stepdown units
- Valid RN license
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Experience with CVA, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR bands, Yale Swallowing Screen
- Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts, including holiday and holiday eve coverage
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous charge nurse experience
- Healthcare experience involving neuro and cardiac patients
- Flexible and adaptable to floating across different facilities and shifts
