Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver nursing care for patients of all ages in the Labor and Delivery department.
• Assess patients' physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs, particularly in obstetric and postpartum settings.
• Document and report changes in patients' conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications following the "Five Rights of Medication Administration."
• Educate patients and their families about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
• Create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Prioritize daily assignments to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
• Demonstrate competency annually in obstetric and labor and delivery nursing practices.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license issued in the state of Nebraska.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current NRP certification (required for RNs in the Obstetrics Department).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Familiarity with obstetric emergency procedures.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations.
