Full-time, Days, 4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care for all patients.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following protocols and documenting appropriately.
• Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel during shifts.
• Complete patient education and competency testing as per unit standards, including discharge planning.
• Float between departments or local locations within 20 miles as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years recent experience in a large operating room setting.
• Ability to scrub in surgical procedures.
• Valid nursing license in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with orthopedic, ENT, or vascular surgeries.
• Epic EMR system experience (training available on-site).
• Flexible, team-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
