• Contract / Nights shift / 12-hour shifts / 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adult patients in a 24/7 hospital setting.
• Analyze, prioritize, and evaluate patient needs efficiently.
• Initiate, maintain, troubleshoot, and wean patients from various respiratory equipment, including mechanical ventilation and BiPAP.
• Follow protocols or physician orders to assess and modify respiratory care procedures.
• Complete all clinical and didactic competencies for assigned areas.
• Collaborate with medical staff, nursing, and allied health practitioners to deliver quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential through NBRC.
• BLS and ACLS certification through AHA.
• Associate degree in Applied Science or equivalent in Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Critical care experience in a hospital setting.
• Ability to educate staff, physicians, and patients regarding disease processes, treatments, and medications.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
