Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Days shift, 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for medical-surgical and telemedicine patients in a hospital setting.
- Administer medications including Heparin and Insulin following protocol.
- Monitor patient status and document accurately using electronic medical records systems such as EPIC.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality care and adherence to safety standards.
- Float to similar units at least once a week as needed.
- Work every other weekend and be available during holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Valid BCLS certification.
- Ability to pass an EKG test specific to this specialty.
- Proven experience in Med/Surg units, managing Heparin and Insulin therapies.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in high-volume hospital units.
- Familiarity with medication systems such as Pyxis.
- Previous experience in float assignments across units.
