• Travel, full-time, 13-week assignment, night shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to a diverse medical-surgical and respiratory patient population in a 42-bed unit.
• Float between units and hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility with shift and unit assignments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during daily rounds to deliver comprehensive care.
• Manage patients with conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, GI issues, diabetes, stroke, and post-surgical recovery.
• Support a 1:6 nurse-patient ratio, with an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit operating at a 1:4 ratio.
• Adhere to all clinical policies, safety standards, and documentation procedures using Meditech EMR.

Required Qualifications

• Active Alabama or Compact Registered Nurse license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• AHA BLS or Red Cross Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a specialized medical-surgical or respiratory setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in respiratory and telemetry units preferred.
• Ability to float to different units and adapt quickly to changing patient care areas.
