Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including circulating for cesarean sections.
- Stabilize and care for newborns in the nursery, including initial stabilization and ongoing care until transport if necessary.
- Monitor fetal well-being through fetal monitoring procedures, ensuring patient safety and care quality.
- Collaborate with medical teams and healthcare staff across the hospital as needed, floating within the skill set.
- Maintain compliance with hospital and state regulations, including certifications and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
- Experience with circulating in c-section procedures.
- Current BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications obtained within the past two years.
- Recent stable EKG interpretation skills, verified through Relias modules, with passing scores.
- Ability to work night shifts and adhere to scheduled hours.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with caring for newborns in the nursery, including stabilization and transport.
- Comfortable with immediate newborn care and stabilization procedures.
- Previous travel experience in similar roles.
