- Night shifts, 3x12 hours
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for obstetric patients in labor, delivery, and postpartum units
- Float to postpartum and nursery as needed to support staffing needs
- Monitor and manage neonatal and maternal patient conditions, including labor progress and postpartum recovery
- Administer medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium, and perform procedures like SVE and heel sticks
- Educate patients on postpartum care, discharge instructions, and car seat safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
Required Qualifications
- Valid nursing license in the state of California
- Current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience; extensive travel experience preferred
- Experience in labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal care
- Ability to circulate, triage, and manage postpartum and newborn care procedures
- Capable of assisting with procedures such as Circumcision and Blood Transfusions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
- Experience with unit systems such as Omnicell, Epic, and SBAR
- Experience managing complex cases like hyperbilirubinemia and blood transfusions
