Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the Medical Surgical unit, focusing on trauma and geriatric trauma cases (55+ years)
• Manage patients with diagnoses originating from the ED, OR, or ICU, including trauma, abuse/violence, MVA, MVC, falls, and acute care surgeries
• Perform assessments and interventions such as wound care, dressings, wound vacs, tubes, drains, and external fixators
• Assist with patient monitoring, interpretation of EKGs, and management of dysrhythmias (passing Relias EKG exam required)
• Float within scope to meet hospital needs and support various units as needed
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding RTO, tardiness, and call-ins, with a focus on maintaining schedule compliance

Required Qualifications

• Valid State Nursing License (Missouri license or compact license; proof required at time of submission)
• BCLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a similar setting
• Pass Relias EKG exam demonstrating dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills
• Ability to work night shifts and navigate floating requirements within hospital scope
• Must have a valid SSN and DOB for compliance purposes

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Trachs, chest tubes, wound vacs, and drains
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system
• Prior geriatric trauma or acute care surgery experience
• Ability to pass hospital-specific onboarding and compliance requirements, including modules and background checks
