Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, day shifts, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, policies, procedures, and state laws.
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in compliance with standards of care.
• Perform assessments, develop and implement patient care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans based on physician directives and patient needs, including patient and family education.
• Participate in department performance improvement activities and share governance initiatives.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to other units and departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and quality care, escalating issues appropriately.
• Engage in professional development, peer reviews, and unit practice activities to support continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TNS (Trauma Nursing Society) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous ER nursing experience preferred but not required
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
