Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Location: Kansas City, MO
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days shifts, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to IMC, PCU, and Stepdown patients in a tertiary care hospital setting.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, manage complex equipment, and interpret telemetry for cardiac safety.
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including advanced procedures such as port access and PICC line management.
• Assist with wound care, drain management, and patient education tailored to renal and endocrine needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans for patients with renal, endocrine, neurological, and respiratory conditions.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety standards, including isolation precautions and wound management.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Missouri.
• Minimum of 1-2 years recent experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry interpretation.
• Experience with IV therapies, including heparin protocols, PCA, and port access.
• Knowledge of renal therapies, dialysis management, and hemodialysis procedures.
• Ability to manage respiratory supplies such as nasal cannulas, oxygen masks, and tracheostomy care.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with neurological conditions such as CVA or psychiatric care.
• Proficiency in managing surgical drains and chest tubes (e.g., Pleur-Evac).
• Experience with Thymo titration and endocrine/renal patient care.
