- 12-hour night shifts / Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and stepdown settings.
- Float between units as needed, including specialized care for cardiac patients.
- Administer insulin and cardiac drips, start IVs, and perform post-cardiac cath care.
- Document patient status and ensure compliance with all protocols using the EPIC system.
- Support patients with complex conditions such as acute coronary syndrome, post-procedural care, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver effective patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license and current state license in New York.
- Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry experience within the past 2 years.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications active and current; NIHSS required prior to start.
- Experience with IV starts, cardiac/insulin drips, and post-cardiac cath care.
- Proficient in Epic electronic medical record system.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
- Experience working in an acute inpatient telemetry or stepdown environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
