• Full-time, Days, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 13-26 weeks contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units for cardiac patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias; manage cardiac drips and sheaths.
• Administer post-MI treatments, pre/post cardiac catheterizations, and manage chest tubes and airway devices.
• Follow unit protocols and ensure patient safety, especially during complex cardiac procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adhere to unit policies during high-acuity patient care.
• Follow necessary safety and documentation procedures within the EPIC system.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience on a cardiac floor, tele, or stepdown unit.
• Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/IMC/Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Management of arterial lines and wound care/wound vacs.
• Charge nurse experience and familiarity with specialized procedures.
• Experience with high-acuity cardiac surgeries such as CABG, AVR, TAVR, and electrophysiology procedures.
