Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Day shifts, 4x10-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative recovery care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients in a Level I Trauma Center
- Monitor patients' vital signs and manage invasive monitoring such as ICP and vasopressors
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and other cardiac events
- Administer blood products, start IVs, and perform phlebotomy procedures
- Care for ventilated patients and manage artificial airways
- Float within the hospital's PACU or PreOp units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current valid state RN license (or compact license for Missouri) in hand at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Critical care experience, including inpatient care in a Level I Trauma Center
- Experience with invasive monitoring, blood product administration, IV start, and dysrhythmia recognition
Preferred Experience / Skills
- EPIC charting system experience
- Experience caring for surgical patients across various specialties (neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, transplant)
- Ability to float within scope to PACU or PreOp units
